Red envelopes are gifts presented at social and family gatherings such as weddings or holidays such as Chinese New Year packet. A lot of people also get red packets from parents, grandparents and other family members.
So how do we spend it wisely? For my family, we usually get 20 dollars, and my parents save the rest into my bank account. After we take the money out, we can throw in the recycle bin instead if throwing them into the trash.
For example, if we get 100 dollars, we should save 70 dollars and use 30 dollars. We can spend it on candy, toys etc. And save the rest for later on, for example university..
Red packets are really good when you use it in a good way.

Dear Miss.Yiu,
The meaning of giving red packets is that giving money to your friends, family, etc. We have this tradition, because at the Chinese legend, red packets was for protecting kids from the Demon Sui.
We can get the money out the red packets, and we should not throw it directly, but we should use it to make a firecracker to decorate our house.
For example if we receive 250 dollars in total, I will receive one hundred to use on the things that I want, and the rest I will give to my parents to put it on the bank to save it up for the future.
I think that the smartest way to spend is to save up for our future life like university etc.

People got red packets from their parents, friends or grandma and grandpa. Wrapping red packets in front of the person giving it to you is impolite and rude. We have this tradition in a long time ago, People believes that a new year monster would come and catch kids while kids are sleeping, but putting a red packet would scare away the monster and protect the children.
After taking out the money, we will throw away the red packet. Here are some great ideas that we can reuse them . Donate or recycle them, turn them to handmade jewelry or saving them for next year’s Chinese New Year decoration.
My mum or dad usually takes my red packet money. They will storage half of my money in my bank account, the next half would be mines to be my pocket money. If its me i will share some of the money to my parents, some of them for me and some of them for charity.
I will ask my mum or my dad to help me store up in my bank account for me studying university. and also sharing them for me to buy lunch.

I like the red packet money in the Chinese New Year. Red packet money is put into a red envelopes which are the gifts presented at social and family gatherings such as weddings or holidays such as Chinese New Year. The red color of the envelope symbolizes good luck and is a symbol to ward off evil spirits. The married couple will send it to the unmarried colleagues and kids. People hope through giving red packet money can bring good luck and fortune to the people in the new year.
Most people only concerning the amount of money inside the red envelope but they do not think of how to make use of the red packet. In my family, we will reuse the red packet for next year to use. Also, we will put the abundant packet to the paper recycling bin. Sometimes, we will use the red packet to make some decorations at home, for example, use the red packet to make a fish, a lantern.
I get all the red packet money every year and manager by myself. I usually will save half of the money to ensure that I will not spend too much and have a good saving habit. For another half, I will buy something I wish to buy for long time, like the Iron Man figure and I will spend some for charity work, like buying flags.
I do not think I have the smartest and wisest way to manage my money because I used some of the money for buying toys. But I will learn from others to learn how to use the money wisely and well spend.

RED PACKETS ! Collecting red packet is most of the Chinese favorite thing. But do you know the background about red packet?
Red envelopes or hongbao in Mandarin and lai see in Cantonese are small red and gold packets containing money given to children, family members, friends and employees as a symbol of good luck. In Chinese culture, the color red is associated with energy, happiness and good luck. The red envelope itself is considered lucky not necessarily the money inside.
According to Chinese legend, the tradition began as a way to keep children safe from the Chinese demon Sui who would come after sleeping children on New Year’s Eve. In China the envelopes are also called yasui qian meaning “suppressing ghost money.”
Most people after taking the money inside the red packet they will throw it away ,but for me l will use it to make a firecracker to decorate our house with Chinese New Year mood.
Normally , my mom and dad will let me keep the money inside the red packet. But if there are two hundred dollars inside the red packet l will use one hundred dollars to buy the thing l want or keep it inside my money box and the other one hundred dollars l will give it to my mom to keep inside my bank account for the future etc.

Giving red pockets is for having a good sign for a new year. In the old days, the people that live in china will give the red pockets to the children. It is because of the demon “Sui’’.People believe that the demon will go to catch the children when they are asleep. Sui scares of red color, so the people will use a red paper and encase some money for scares away the demon, Sui.
After I take out the money form the red pocket, I will usually reuse it or make it to a paper lantern. If we just take away the money and throw the red pocket away, I think it was wasted. Because the red pocket can be reused to become a very beautiful lantern.
If my parents get my pocket money, they will usually save my money for university. But if I can use my pocket money, I will use a little bit of them to buy the things I like, but most of then I will use it for my future.
I think the smartest way to use my pocket money is saving it for my future, like for my university or for buying books. If I just quickly spend all the money, then maybe I cannot go to the university that I like, so I will save my money for the university. And I think this is the smartest way to spend it.

For the sake of environmental protection, I will also denote the red packet envelop to the voluntary agency. It can be recycled, re-packed and distributed to the local communities for reuse.

Dear Ms. Yiu,
Why do Chinese people give out red packets during Chinese New Year? Giving red packets is a tradition held by the Chinese people, it is because Chinese people love the colour red, and regard red as a symbol of energy, happiness and good luck. Sending red packets is a way to send good wishes and luck to others, but is that the only meaning behind red packets?
Legend says that once there lived a beast called ‘Sui’. This beast comes out only on new years to catch children while they are asleep. ‘Sui’ is scared of the colour red and shiny objects, so villagers put red paper all over the house and encase money to scare away ‘Sui’.
Once I take out the money inside the red packets, I will save some red packets to use next year. This way, I don’t have to waste money to buy new ones. Beside that, I will also use the remaining red packets to make paper lanterns, by this method, you don’t only enjoy building the paper lantern, you can also make the world a better place by not wasting it.
If my parents got my red packet money, they will put it in my bank account and save it for the future, like university or oversea trips! If I got the money, I will spend half of the money to buy valuable things, and I will save the remaining.
I think the wisest way to spend the money is that you split it into three groups, the first group will be the money to buy something you want, the second group will be the money saved for the future, the last group will be the money you donate to people in need. This way, you will be happy, your future you will be happy, and the people around you will also be happy!

Firstly, you can use half of the money for buying gifts for our relatives for thanking them and save the other half for the future. In the Future, if we don’t have enough money, we can use this money that we had saved all the years so we will not starve.
Also, If we buy gifts for our relatives, it will show respect to them that you care about them and it’s worthy to give you red packet money. It also is an expression of love. It is a good way of strengthening relationships. It is to show how much you love someone.
You can also use the pocket money for something you want to buy. For me, I will buy some drawing materials for me practice, and I really like to draw. You can buy the thing you buy, but it cannot be over and too expensive.
Lastly, it is very important for you to save money and use your red packet money wisely. Have a nice time at Chinese New Year!Red packets are really good when you use it in a good way.Use your red packet money Wisely!

There was an old legend during the China Qin dynasty, which is about a monster called”Nian” it always clamming down the children for scaring the monster in the Chinese new year. After a long time, the meaning is to give kids good luck and wishes.
I think that everybody loves red pocket money very much, let’s talk about the culture of giving red pocket money. The usage of giving red pocket money is to bless other to have a great year and be fortune every day, slowly it became a tradition and good manners, but especially children cannot give red pocket money to adult.
After I get the money out from my red pocket money, if there are blessing words on the red pocket, I will maybe stick it in my room or use it next year and I can keep my money myself, I will keep 80% of the money, 15% for buying things for myself, and 5% for donations. Hope that I can have lots of red pockets this year!

Red packets are gifts presented at family gathers, weddings, Chinese new year and so much more Chinese holidays. There was a traditional story in China long time ago, there was a monster called Sui, and Sui will come out and catch children, make them ill in the night before Chinese New year, so the parents will put a red packet with money inside, and the monster will be scared away and it can ward off evil spirits too. Soon, it became a tradition, and everyone will give red packet to their relatives.
But red packets are usually thrown away after people take away the money inside, A smart and good way to rescue them is to turn them into New Year decorations. Such as fishes, flowers, origami paper or even stick them together to wrap gifts!
I usually put 70-80% of my red packet money into my bank account, which my mom made it for me. And I will use some of my money on things I wanted for a long tome. Sometime, I will donate some of my money to charities too.
I think the best and smartest way to spend these money are to save them and used it for university charge.

It’s almost Chinese New Year! And let me tell you some background’s about red packet’s. There’s actually a meaning behind red packet’s! Giving red packet’s are equal to giving people gift, Red packet’s are like gift’s presented at social and family gatherings such as weddings or holidays such as Chinese New Year ! The traditional of Chinese New Year is a time of families being together and celebrate, like: New Year’s Eve dinner with families, Fire works, Red packet’s, New Year market’s, Cleaning and decorations………
For every Chinese New Year, as you know that it will be used up a lot of paper’s from red packet’s although, part’s of people think another way, But i’ll try to reuse them by throwing it into recycle bin instead of rubbish bin, and try not to buy new red packet’s and reuse them every time.
After receiving red packet’s, my mum actually let’s me keeps some of the money. I usually save part of the money inside my bank account then take them when i have needs , but also keep some of them my own inside my piggy bank!
In my opinion, the smartest way to spend the red packet’s money is to save it for university or buying something important.

Tick tock, tick tock… A year has just passed, and the Chinese New Year is coming again. That means is time to get some red packet. How will you spend your red packet money?
Usually, my mom just gives me to pick two to three red packets and the others will let her keep it. I will put my money in my piggy bank and use it if needed. My mom will use the money for school fees or maybe for going to a trip. It is just that simple!
If I had all my red packet money, I will spend my money wisely. Firstly, I will save half my money for the future. Because in the future, if I need money emergently, I still have them. Secondly, I will donate at least 10% of my money to charity, like Orbis. Orbis help children and adults with their eyesight problem, which I think it is very meaningful. Thirdly, I will leave 20% for myself to buy things that I want. For example, stationaries, board games, snacks and other useful and enjoyable things. Last but not least, I will give the remaining money to my mom to keep it. It is because my mom will help me to give school fees and it is also a way to help her out. Although I know it is just a tiny amount of money, but I think a gift that is from my heart is more significant!
Do you know the usage of red packets? In Chinese, a red packet is a gift which is given during holidays or special occasions such as weddings, graduation or the birth of a baby. The red colour of the envelope symbolizes good luck and is a symbol to ward off evil spirits.
How will you spend your red packet money? Feel free to share with me!

After people take out the money, they usually thrown the red packets away.I think it is such a waste. To be more environmental friendly,we can keep it until the next year, then reuse it for giving out red packets.Beside from that,we can use the red packets for folding and decorating.
When I receive red packets from my family and relatives,my parents will get my money, they will keep it for me.They told me that they will save it and use them for my study, buying books and stationary, and gifts in the future.
I think the smartest and widest way to use the packets money I got is to save up my money but not to spend all of them immediately,we should use them when we need.Besides from using them for myself, we can donate some of them to the one who need help. For example, sickness people, animals, homeless people……
Wish everyone a happy new year.

A long time ago, there was a rumour about a monster, this monster will catch little childrens at night when they were in their middle of their sleep, but someone found out that if you put a red packet at the front of your house door, the monster will be scared of the red packet and will run away. Now people believe that red packets is lucky and also a symbol of the ward of the evil spirits.
Normally, most people will throw the red packets away after they finished taking the money out, and it was a waste of paper. To prevent from wasting paper, I think that we can user these paper in our daily life such as when you need to calculate some math problems with paper, but you cannot find one, you can use the paper to write in it and calculate, well actually we can reuse the red packet again, but I think it wouldn’t last long, because colour of the paper will slowy lost the colour.Unless you put it in some places that the sunlight won’t shine into it, so the colour won’t wear off.
Well my mom usually kept my money in a safewell in the bank, then when i grew up I can use the money I got from all these years.Or maybe sometimes my mother will give me a little bit of my money like about two hundred dollars for me to spent on my school items suck as pencils erasers and pens!

Pocket money is small red and gold packets containing money given to children, family members, friends and employees as a symbol of good luck, then why we got this traditional? It is because Chinese New year got a similar meaning of Christmas- celebrating with your family member. Because in the old days, a lot of Chinese people needed to go so far for working and make money, so they cannot often meet their family members, so they decided to go back to his home at the start of the year to meet their family members to eat together and chat together.
If I get some pocket money, I will quickly give to my dad for keeping my money. Why? Because he will save my money in my bank account. You may ask why you don’t spend them but save them in my bank account. It is because my dad scared that I will spend all of them and don’t have money when I am an adult. My dad said that money is the tuition fee when I am a university student. The money is also for me if I got a son or a daughter(just maybe!!!!!!).
When the peoples got a red pocket, they will take the money out and throw the packet away. But I think this is the worst way. First, the packet is all really expensive, and when we throw it, it will be a great big waste. Next, the packet can be recycling materials for making some arts and crafts. If you don’t want or hate to do arts and crafts, you can stick all of the packets and paste them on the wall for really beautiful decorations. But if you really really don’t want to keep all of them, I wish you can choose to recycle all the packets than throwing them in the bin!

As part of Chinese New Year celebrations, lai see (Red packets) – little red envelopes containing money – are often given to children by elders and married adults. This can be a timely opportunity to teach your kids about the wisdom of managing money properly and to cultivate good saving habits.
Some parents choose to take charge of their children’s laisee money or may even use it to defray some of the costs of the festive season. Your children may feel disappointed if you do this. Therefore, it is important to explain to them the reason and, if necessary, share with them your family’s financial situation. If the laisee money is being saved on your children’s behalf, it is always best to explain why and the benefits of saving. Explaining to your children why you are doing something can help reduce any feeling of hurt they may have about not getting to spend all their laisee money. It is also an important step in helping them understand money management.
Whenever possible, it is best to let your children have part or even all of the laisee money they were given. At the same time, show them how they should manage this annual bonus.
Savings: Children need to understand the importance of building up their savings. Encourage them to put aside some of their pocket money for a future project or goal.
Spending: After taking away the money needed for essential expenses and savings, the rest of the pocket money can be spent more freely. It is still important though that your children understand that their pocket money is not for spending on just anything. You should explain to them how to prioritise spending on what they need first, before spending on things they desire, but don’t have to have.
Giving to others: Encourage your kids to understand the situation of those less fortunate than themselves. Let them know that they can help by volunteering or donating second-hand toys. They can also be encouraged to donate some of their pocket money to worthy causes.

Chinese New Year is almost coming to an end, and we’re finally able to open our red packets! But what are you going to do with all the leftover wrappings of the money?
There are currently a charity drive going on where used red packets are collected, cleaned and distributed again to be reused.and there are plenty of blogs and pins on Pinterest that gives you directions and ideas for CNY decorations using just recycled red packets. From simple projects like goldfishes, to elaborate ones like lanterns and flowers, you’ll be able to find something that’ll fit great at home next year.
so should parents keep the money?
I think parents should keep the money for their children so that they won’t grow up into adults who take money for granted. Young people should be taught that money is something to be earned, not something that is handed to them for free. and Keeping their lai see money will give them a more realistic idea of money from a young age. It will also teach them to be more grateful for what they have, and teach them to respect the value of hard-earned money.

Chinese new year is coming, how would you prepare for chinese? Well as a child I did need to prepare red pockets, but I need to prepare a bag for collecting it. But other than giving out or collecting red pockets have you ever wonder what is the meaning behind the red pockets ? Well I’m going to talk about the meaning behind red pockets. Once a upon a time there was a monster in chinese new year who likes to touch children’s head, the children who have been touch will be scared or cry also will have headache, so they won’t be asleep during the chinese new year.t hey took out eight pieces of copper coins to play with their son in order to keep him awake. Their son was very sleepy, however, so they let him go to sleep after placing a red paper bag containing copper coins under the child’s pillow. The two older children were also stayed with him for the whole night. Suddenly, the doors and windows were blown open by a strange wind, and even the candlelight was extinguished. It turned out to be the monster. When the monster” was going to reach out and touch the child’s head, the pillow suddenly brightened with the golden light, and the monster was scared away, so the exorcism effect of “red paper wrapped copper money” spread in the past China.
So usually we would just throw away the red pockets after we get the money right. But that’s a waste of it. So usually I would keep some pretty red pockets and make an artwork, or when I don’t use it I will just recycle it. So after I take my money out from the red packet I will store most of it in my bank account for my future and some for my spendings. I think the wisest way to spend the money is to buy some presents for your parents to thank them for having you, because if it wasn’t them, You will not be here collecting red packets.

The things that I like most about Chinese New Year is playing the game Fish shrimp crab and also collecting red packet. It was so lively in Chinese new year.
Red packet are gifts presented at social and family gatherings such as weddings or holidays such as Chinese New Year. Chinese people love the color red, and regard red as the symbol of energy, happiness and good luck. Sending red envelopes is a way to send good wishes and luck (as well as money). Actually, the significance of red envelopes is the red paper, not the money inside.
After we take out the money, the red packets are usually thrown away. But I have a good ways to reuse them, we keep it and give it back to other at next Chinese new year with money inside. So when we open the red packet we have to open it carefully, and be sure that there is no broken part.
I´ ll get manage of my own red packet money, I will managed it by transfer it all to my own Hukou. And I will save all the money inside, when I grown up I will use it and give some to my parent.
I think the wisest and smartest ways to spend our red packet money is we save it when small, and when we grow up we give some money to our parents and buys thing that are useful to us. Don’t spend a lot on games.
And this is all we will do in Chinese new year, so that’s why I like Chinese new year. And also the most exciting part for me is open the red packet and see how much did I got in total!

Dear Mrs Poon,
Have you wondered what is the red packets we receive on Chinese new year? Hopefully, In this article, you’ll find the answers to your questions.
The red colour of the envelope symbolizes good luck and is a symbol to ward off evil spirits. The significance of red envelopes is the red paper, not the money inside. Wrapping lucky money in red envelopes is expected to bestow more happiness and blessings on the receivers. Hence, it is impolite to open a red envelope in front of the person who gives it to you. According to Chinese Legend, the tradition began as a way to keep children safe from the demon named Sui.
Usually, Red Packets will be thrown out after taking the money out. But for me, I would cut out bits of the red packet and stick it on to my scrapbook or make some paper outfits for my wooden doll at home, and if you think that making scrapbook pages is a waste of time, you shall at least recycle it. There are currently a charity drive going on where used red packets are collected, cleaned and distributed again to be reused. Dear mrs.poon,
a red packet is a monetary gift which is given during chinese new year or special occasions such as weddings, graduation or the birth of a baby. The red color of the envelope symbolizes good luck and is a symbol to ward off evil spirits. The amount of money contained in the envelope usually ends with an even digit, in accordance with Chinese beliefs; odd-numbered money gifts are traditionally associated with funerals. Wrapping red packets in front of the person giving it to you is impolite and rude.
So how would i use the red packects well?i will give the money to my parents and let them keep the money inside the bank so i could save more money,so it would be very useful soon if i needed money such as going into to the university.next i may also use the leftover red packets to make some decorations and arts or crafts.if you don’t like to make arts and crafts or decorations, you can paste them on somthing else to make them red(which is cool).I also can recycle them into the recycle bin.At last, i could use the red packect money to donate for the poor people or to the charity.

In ancient times, there was a monster named Nian with a long head and sharp horns. It dwelled deep in the sea all year round and only showed up every Chinese New Year’s Eve to eat people and livestock in nearby villages. Therefore, on the day of Chinese New Year’s Eve, people would flee to remote mountains to avoid being harmed by the monster. People had lived in fear of this monster until an old man with white hair and a ruddy complexion visited the village.

Dear Ms Kum,
Red packets are something really unique, it symbolizes good luck and is a symbol to ward off evil spirits. It is a gift from family and friends, usually given in Chinese New Year and sometimes also given in weddings, birthdays, and etc. Usually married people give red packets to unmarried people.
Many people love red packets, but do you know why people give them out? There are lots of reasons, and one of them is about the monster named Nian. Every year at the beginning of Chinese New Year, Nian left his den at night to search for animals to eat. When it was really cold outside and all animals were hidden, Nian went to the village and ate children. Parents were heartbroken, and had tried many different ways to attack Nian. Unfortunately, none of the methods work. Parents sat together to discuss about Nian, and soon discovered that Nian was feared of the color red and loud noises. So they stuck red paper on the front doors, and they bang pots, drums, and pans at night. Nian was scared to death, so he ran back to his den at the speed of lightning and never came out again. On the next day, all villagers cooked delicious and fragrant meals, gave kids red packets, and set off firecrackers to celebrate a peaceful year ahead. Ever since, people cook luscious meals and enjoy with their family, give unmarried people red packets and set off firecrackers every Chinese New Year. What a wonderful legend!
As you may know, red packets includes two parts: the envelope and the money. Normally, I will keep $500 as pocket money and save the rest in my bank account for future use. But, this is not the wisest and smartest way. I think the wisest and smartest way is to keep $500 or $600 as pocket money, then separate the rest in halves. Half will be saved in the bank and the other half will be donated to charities such as Unicef, Hong Kong Red Cross, Orbis, World Vision, and etc. Helping others is so meaningful! After getting the money out, the red packets can also be reused. I can make decorations with it to decorate my house, so my house would be filled with the atmosphere of Chinese New Year. Using the same red envelopes in the year after or putting it in the recycling box for paper is also a good way to reuse the envelopes. What a environmental friendly idea!
You must have known more about red packets. Can’t wait to see how much money I have inside the red packets!

Dear Mrs.Poon,
I am sure that all of us love red packets. So what is the meaning behind red packets during the Chinese New Year? According to the Chinese legends, the red packets is for keeping the children safe from the Chinese monster called “Sui”. The monster would come after sleeping children on New Year’s Eve. Also, the red packets are also called yasui qian meaning “suppressing ghost money.”
Most of the people will throw the red packets away after taking out the money. I think it is a very bad habit to waste it. The red packets can make a beautiful Chinese lantern. People can search online to see Chinese lantern teaching website. They can make it creatively with wasted red packets instead of throwing it away.
After receiving red packets from my grandparents, aunties and uncles, mum and dad, I had a habit of giving all of my red packets to my parents and let them to deposit my money to my bank account. The reason why I don’t keep it myself because I am afraid that I will lose my money, afterwards like 500 dollars will be lost. If they let me keep it, I will bring a little small crossbody bag and put all my red packets in my bag.
Red packets are not for using it freely. It is the blessings from others. For me, I will put it at home for one month. After one month, I will ask my parents to deposit to the bank for me. I think the wisest and the smartest ways to spend it is half of them deposit to the bank, and half of them for myself for buying snacks at school or buy something I like.
You will love red packets when you use it wisely.

When I receive red packets I will keep it all together and open it on the last day of the new year after I open it I will count the money and put all the money to the bank so I can use it when I am responsible enough to keep my own money
Every year I will put my pocket money to the bank so I won’t waste all the money, and I can use it when I need it. The best way to use the pocket money is to save it to the bank, because you can keep it until you need it if you didn’t keep it and waste all the money, you abye have not enough money to use when you need. So the best way is to save it.

Dear Ms Carmen,
Giving red packets during Chinese New Year is an old tradition in China. The color red of the packet symbolizes good luck and it is believed the color red can chase off evil spirits near you. In Chinese culture, red is associated with energy, happiness and good luck. But also there are a lot of rules to follow when you receive a red packet. If you’re giving a red packet, use new crisp bills and avoid coins. Do not put in amounts that start with four because it is an unlucky number in Chinese culture. If you received a red packet, first offer a New Year greeting wishing good fortune in the New Year to the one who is giving you the red packet . It is polite to take the envelope with both hands and do not open it in front of the person who gifted it. Try to give even amounts, and if possible start or end the amount in the lucky number eight. Parents and relatives will consider your age to decide how much money to put in the red packet.
Every year, we all get lots of money from our relatives, and of course there are a lot of red packets left every year. So how can we reuse them? There are a lot of creative ways we can make them useful after receiving the red packets. We can use the red packet papers to do DIY crafts at school in visual arts lessons or decoration. It’s a good way to support environmental protection and save the nature.
Now I have grown up, my parents usually let me keep my red packet money by myself. Now I have come to the age of getting an account at the bank, I decided to keep most of my money at the bank, and leave some for my own regular spending.
Last but not least, I will only spend my red packet money on some important things that need my own payment. I won’t spend the money at one time, but a little a little a time, because this money are best wishes from my relatives and friends. I think if you won’t be lucky of you spend all of your money in one time for your temporary strong desire for something you wanted, not needed. My point is red packet are actually helping you to control your desire, and indicate the thing you want to buy is whether what you need, or just a desire. Anyways, wish you a happy New Year!

Red packets are things we give out in Chinese New Year. The symbol on the front is to bring us good luck and get the bad luck away. We usually throw away the red packets after we take out the money, but we can actually donate them to the red packet collection event to reuse it. I and my family will also get the red packets, if my parents gets it, they will store the money for future, and I will choose something to buy and keep some at the same time. The smartest way to spend it is to use 1/4 of the money to buy something you want and save 3/4 of the money for the future.
I really like Chinese New Year and I will try and reuse the red packets to save the environment.

The good way to reuse the red packet is to put it into the red packet recycle box that gives it to the environmental protection organization. Or we can use th3e red packet to make decorations, like a lantern, goldfish, firecrackers, fan, basket and many more crafts to make, we learn these crafts all from online!
My parents are fully responsible for my red packet money every year, they will we will count the amount of money and stack in a pile to save the money inside the bank. They said that money is for me after my university. If I am got to manage my red packet money I will save half of them in my piggy bank and the rest of them for me to buy my own stuff.
Although saving the red packet money into the bank and use it in the future is a wise and smart way to treat my red packet money, but I would still think donating part of my money to the charity will be also a great way to do so.

In Chinese New Year we always get red pocket but do you actually know what is the real story behind it?According to the Chinese old story, the Chinese monster Sui is afraid of red things so the parents will give red pocket to keep the children safe from the Sui, usually Sui would come to those towns when the children is asleep on New Year’s Eve.
When ever people give the children red pocket they will just throw the red pocket away and keep those money. But I think that is just a waste because red pocket can make many craft works and also you can just put money in and give away to others. So it will be more recycle!
After I got all the red pocket from my relatives, I usually will give it to my parents and ask them to help to deposit to the bank, and I will feel more safe because I and afraid to lost the money.
For me I think that safe all the money to the bank the wisest and the smartest because you can get the money out when you really need those money.

Dear Mrs. Poon,
Since the ancient time, the tradition of red pocket had appeared in China. We are always happy for receiving red pockets from our parents, but do you know the meaning behind this tradition? Our parents give us red pockets because they want us to be happy and good in everything in the new year.
However, the red pockets will become useless after we take out the money. People usually throw it away. This is not friendly to the earth and can cause pollution to the environment. Therefore, I will not throw the red pockets into the rubbish bin. I will take the old red pockets to the community centre. It is because that there will be a collection box for old red pockets. We can recycle the red pockets by putting them into the collection box to bring less harm to the earth.
I usually will put half my pocket money into my bank account to save more money every year. And I will spend the another half of my pocket money to buy the things I want such as shoes, earrings and clothes.
However, I think the wise and smart way to spend the money is putting all of them into my bank account to save money for my future. Saving money is a good habit and we should maintain it when we are young. Also, we can donate some of our money to help the needy in the society. There are many people who need help from other in the world.

It’s Chinese New Year! When we talked about Chinese New Year, we all must think about red packets. Do you know what the meaning behind red packets is during Chinese New Year? And why do we have this tradition?
First, the meaning behind red packets during Chinese New Year is Chinese people like the color red, and regard red as the symbol of energy, happiness and good luck. Sending red packets is a way to send good wishes and luck (such as energy). The Chinese new year red packet is a traditional gift for children during Chinese New Year. In China, the red packet is called suppressing ghosts money. And the people, who received a red packet, are wished to another safe and peaceful year. This represents the answer of why do we have this tradition.
Secondly, we can use the red packets for doing some craft things that for making the decorations. So that we can make it more recycle and don’t waste too many packets. Usually, my mum will get my red packets, and then my mum will help me to put it into my bank account.
Lastly, how will I use my red packets money wisely and smartest way? I will use it to buy some learning materials for my lesson and my learning time, also I will buy something for myself like toys or something I like to play with.

I think the most important about spending red packet money is don’t waste all the money to buy something that is unneeded, and try to save some money. If you use the red packet money wisely, it will be very useful.

Red packets are the packets with lucky money that the married couple give to kids, but it is also impolite to open the red packets in front of the person who give you.
Most kids receive an amount of money inside the red packets, and they spend them in different ways. Such as, New toys, clothes, book and a lot of different gifts for themselves or their family. My parents would help me put half of my red packet money in my banking account, and another half will be mine, so that I can use them when I need. I would save half of them for my school supplies and the things that I need, if there are some leftovers, I will use them for puzzles or decorations.
I believe that after taking money out of the packets, most people will throw them away instead of reusing them. It is a good idea to use them as decorations for the school, or even sent them to elderly home to let the homeless elderly feel great during the festival.
In my opinion, I think the best way to spend the money is using half for the gifts and stationaries for school. Then, the donate second half of it to some charities to help poor people in other homeless countries.

First, we can keep the red packet until next Chinese New Year and reuse it. Second, we can put the used red packet into the recycle bin, at least it is better than throwing the red packet into the rubbish bin.

When I open my red pocket, I will take out my money, and give some money to my mum, I will give 50% of the money to my mum and tell her to put it to the bank, and she will help me to put.
After I take out the money, the red packets are usually thrown away. But I have a good way to reuse them, I can use the red packet to make a little red star, and I can put it anywhere I want to decorate my house and it will become full of red colour house. And it can make it more beautiful.
